when we were in Washington 6 weeks ago, we stayed in a nice small hotel named
club Quarters.
On the 7th floor on the way to our room was a picture of this lion on the wall. I liked the postprocess of the picture with its pinky atmosphere and the sleeping lion with a copper green hue.
Later during our stay, we found this statue in front of the
Corcoran Gallery of Art, closed to the whitehouse.
I took a picture of it. And this afternoon, I spent some time with photoshop in order to find a similar postprocessing as the one of the picture in the hotel. It is basically a gradient map with a pink hue and a blue/green layer that I blended in the burn mode on the lion. I think I am quite close to the original.
Whoever was the artist who made the picture in the hotel, please consider my shot as a tribute.
And see you next time.
