One more picture from our trip to Norway last summer.
This little hut stands close to the town of Röros in the south east of the country. As you can see the traditionnal scandinavian roof is made of a layer of earth and flowers. It said to be very protective against rain and snow as the earth act like a huge sponge. But let be fair, nowadays there is also a layer of thick plastic to secure the sealing.
