A ship in the Marmara sea, Turkey.
The trip between Istanbul and Bursa always include a ferry trip. There is several ways to cross the
sea of Marmara but I usually go through Pendik on the Asian side. The Sea of Marmara is more like a big lake inside Turkey. It is however connected to Black sea through the narrow Bosphorus and to the Mediteranean sea through the Dardanelles.
I guess it used to have very nice shores many years ago but unfortunately nowadays, there is many heavy industries around all along the edges. Shipbuilding area, Heavy steel making factories, together with the 12+ millions unhabitants of Istanbul. As a sad consequence, the water is polluted and it is said that 95% of sea life has disappeared.
Shot with Sigma 17-70 and processed in Lightroom and CS3. I strenghtened the clouds to make them threatening and desaturate the sea through a gradient layer.
see you...
